The Crimean Astrophysical Observatory RAS in Nauchny is holding the survey and thematic educational and popular science lections-excursions. Under favorable conditions, a survey lection includes the demonstration of the Sun in the daytime and night-sky objects in the evening time.
If so agreed, we organize a visit to the house-museum of academician A.B. Severny, director of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in 1952-1987. In the daytime a visit to the museum is conducted before or after the survey lecture, and in the evening time – 1.5 hours before its starting. An inspection of the exposition lasts about an hour.
The daytime excursions are carried out between 10 a.m. and 15 p.m, the evening-time excursions start an hour before the sunset, the exact time is reported by organizers when ordering. The lecture duration is ~ 2-2.5 hours.
Lectures-excursions are carried out on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The children under 7 years old and a category of persons stated in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea on April 14, 2015 №199 have right to visit for free.
Pensioners are provided with a discount of 30% only while visiting the house-museum of academician A.B. Severny.
Procedure for visiting
Groups and visitors are gathered at the appointed time at the site near the entrance control post to Nauchny. Excursions for latecomers are not organized. The school groups are accepted only in the daytime accompanying by the persons fully responsible for the behavior of children.
On the last Saturday of each month, children, students and multi-child families (three and more children under 18 years old), excluding the organized groups, are accepted for free.
The possibilities of accepting visitors are limited. The pre-appointment call is absolutely required!
Walking around the observatory is allowed only with an accompanying lecturer. We pay your attention that to avoid flashing of the astronomic equipment, it is forbidden to turn on the flashlights and make photos with a flash without permission of the lecturer.
Excursions take place in the unheated buildings and under the open sky. Make sure you have cold-protective clothing and footwear.
The Simeiz Observatory is a department of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory RAS. It is located on the South Coast of Crimea in Goluboy Zaliv (Blue Bay).
